HandyMan Headquarters is a HandyMan company that specializes in small jobs. We have a number of experienced, competent tradesmen who are equipped to come out look at your job, write a contract on the spot and, in most cases, complete your job(s) that same day. All HandyMan Headquarters personnel use a regional price list that has researched the cost to complete almost every type of job in your area. This price list allows for the common or "normal" job-site conditions. What this means to you is, in most cases, you can call our office and inquire as to what your job would cost prior to having your HandyMan come out to complete the work.
Upon arrival your HandyMan will do an initial evaluation of the work requested, he/she will check that there are no unusual circumstances on your job that will change the price as quoted and write up a work order agreement on the spot for your authorization . Once signed, if we have been notified in advance of the type of work you need to have completed, the HandyMan will probably have the materials with him and be able to start and finish your job(s) the same day. If he does not have the materials, he will either go get them, have them delivered or, will set up the appointment for another day.
Your HandyMan is totally self-sufficent. Payment is expected upon the completion of small jobs, on jobs that require more than one trip other payment options can be agreed to. Payment can be made by check, debit card, HandyMan Headquarters gift card, cash or, Visa and MasterCard are gladly accepted.
Our approach to the HandyMan business is that - with few exceptions - we eliminate the bidding and sales functions thus reducing overhead costs. Almost 90% of the jobs we are asked to complete are small, odd-jobs that we can price for you over the phone. If we were to make more than one trip out to your home (one to estimate your job and then another to do the actual work) most, if not all our profit would be consumed by administration and sales costs. If you request for us to make a visit to your home to estimate your "small" job there is a minimum charge levied. Usually this cost is less than those that have been developed by plumbers, HVAC contractors, and certaintly all appliance repair and service companies in the United States. This cost is typically $35.00 and is needed to cover initial administration, sales and fuel costs.
